We use only the best and purest natural materials for the production of Kamjo beds: soft cotton, warm wool, exceptionally valuable natural Vita Talalay® latex and temperature-regulating horsehair. All this to provide the body with the healthiest environment for resting. In addition, the expertly sprung Kamjo bed provides proper support for the body and relieves it of excess tension.
When choosing where to spend a third of your life, Kamjo beds are the best and healthiest choice.
Horsehair
Horsehair is a water-resistant and breathable natural stuffing material used in high-quality upholstered beds. Each strand of horsehair works like a miniature airway, wicking away moisture from the bed and drawing in fresh air. When dipped in water and then shaken for a second, horsehair dries instantly. Thanks to the thermoregulative properties of horsehair, this natural stuffing material helps provide maximum comfort in beds. Horsehair is also antibacterial and non-allergenic, which ensures a hygienic and healthy sleeping environment. Horsehair is only used in Kamjo’s most exclusive bed: Golden People.
Handicrafts
Handcrafted products ensure that every bed and mattress bearing the Kamjo logo is made with absolute dedication. During production, we take into account the special requests, characteristics and uniqueness of each and every customer. Our experienced masters personalise each product exactly as needed. This in turn ensures the best possible rest for both body and mind.
Springs
Also, springs are very important components in the production of a bed. The springs used in Kamjo beds are of the highest quality and manufactured in England. Four levels of firmness are available: soft, medium, firm and very firm. Pocket springs: each pocket spring works independently in accordance with the body weight falling on it, without disturbing other pocket springs. HD springs: these spring are designed to distribute your body weight across as many springs as possible, which ensures that no single spring exerts distinct pressure on your body. Mini pocket springs: this layer of mini springs provides additional support and helps keep the upholstery in place.
Cotton
In addition to the lungs, we also breathe through our skin. Kamjo’s natural soft cotton makes the air move around your body to ensure a dry, comfortable and healthy sleeping environment. Cotton is used in all Kamjo beds – both in the main mattresses and the mattress toppers.
Wood
Quality wood is the most important factor in the frames and headboards of Kamjo beds. We use only high quality wood in our production. The frames of all Kamjo beds and headboards are manufactured through skill and tradition to last at least 20 years!
Cashmere
Kamjo beds use natural and top-quality combed cashmere, which is highly valued for its warmth and extra fine fibres. In the topmost stretch fabrics of Kamjo matresses, which are closest to the body, we use a mix of cashmere fibres and viscose.
Vita Talalay® is the oldest company in the world producing latex for mattresses. Decades of experience have taught us two essential things in life: that sleep quality is no place for concessions and that environmental sustainability is important. That is why we are proud to say that sustainable production is a defining principle of Vita Talalay®.How Vita Talalay® latex is made Unlike many others, we can proudly say that the production of our latex starts from the very first seed and ends with a thoroughly controlled latex manufacturing process. The Hevea brasiliens, or rubber tree, takes a whole 7 years to grow from seed to tree, from which a liquid that is the base substance of latex can be harvested. The harvesting is done manually on plantations.
The harvested liquid is collected and transferred to factories, where water is separated from the liquid, resulting in the formation of rubber. As the entire process of growing plants and collecting raw materials is strictly controlled, we can ensure the best quality and environmental sustainability.Next, the raw material is transferred to a manufacturing plant, where the famous Vita Talalay® latex used in Kamjo mattresses is made through special processes. This includes processing the rubber with a pressurised vacuum, vulcanising and freezing it. All this results in a material that can be used with complete confidence, in a product where the highest quality is required – a mattress.
Vita Talalay® – unique but always the same
Every body is unique. In terms of weight, shape and habits. And yet, Vita Talalay® mattresses are universal. How?One of the great features of Vita Talalay® latex is its ability to adapt. This is primarily due to its 100% natural origin. You can rest assured that no matter your body shape or specific sleeping conditions, Vita Talalay® mattresses are perfect for everyone. Self-regulating temperature, dust resistance and excellent durability – these are just some of the words that characterise Vita Talalay® latex. Add to this the materials Kamjo uses in their production, and you get a product unmatched by any other type of mattress.
